in loving memory of Abdul Basit...the loving uncle of Masarat Daud
a message from Masarat:
"Most of my childhood memories stem from his house. The last 8 days of his life...I was with him. He was partially paralysed but he felt my hand as I held on to him. He opened his eyes weakly and just glanced and then...struggled to open them but in vain. He moved his leg, he moved his hand...trying to understand why one half of his body didn't exist.
This was my uncle. The man with the purest heart I have known. And I watched him for 8 days as he hung onto life and I tried...but in vain to understand life and to see death approach. They cry around me...and they wail. But I only see his face - he was so peaceful. What a quick death it was...right after 8 days of sleep. What must he have dreamt of?
Now he's gone. And I'm here. I stare at my hands and I still know the sensation of his paralysed mortal remains...and the warmth of his hand. I stood as they wrapped him in the cloth and I didn't let them cover his face - what if he can't breathe through it? But then they had cruelly stuck cotton in his nose...and they pushed my hand away and tied him in.
My childhood memories are gone. The last week just vanished. I'm only left with words and the picture of his body...with a silent heart.
Pray for him. Pray for my granny's most fav son...pray for his kind soul. Please."
Oh god, I feel like an idiot. Should've read the description first before commenting. Really sorry about that >_>
If you uncle had a pure heart, I'm sure God or whatever higher power there is out there has brought him to a place of everlasting happiness after death. I'd be glad that he's finally free from earthly suffering.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
